ASTHMA

Paroxysmal constriction of the bronchial airways, most often incited by over-responsiveness to a variety of allergy-causing stimuli.

Diet:
Follow diet that controls blood sugar levels and is rich in vegetables, legumes, and fruit. Avoid sugars, cold beverages, dairy products, pork, processed foods, white flour, and all foods known to cause allergies. Also avoid foods that contain chemicals and additives. Sulfites in commercially prepared food and wine to prevent bacterial growth, can cause severe attacks.

Vitamins A, beta-carotene, vitamins B complex, C, E, calcium, magnesium, selenium, quercetin.

Herbs:
Gingko biloba, echinacea, lobelia, pau d'arco, Chinese garlic.
