Sugar

Refined white sugar is 99% sucrose, and that is bad news. Sucrose is deprived of the natural chromium and other micronutrients of sugarcane, and that triggers abrupt rises in blood sugar and accompanying insulin responses. Sucrose is better in external use, where it is a useful antibacterial agent helping to heal wounds quickly. For internal use, try unrefined molasses with most of its ingredients intact.
Caution: Sucrose is a long-term precarious food not only for diabetics, but even for perfectly healthy persons, even excluding the danger of tooth carries for everyone.
