BAKED APPLES

Ingredients:
4 medium apples, cored
8 tablespoons raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Recipe:
1. Core apples and peel them about 1/3 of the way down.
2. Set them upright in a small baking dish.
3. Mix raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg.
4. Divide mixture and fill cavities in the apples.
5. Add 1/2-inch/1cm boiling water to the pan and bake in preheated 400 F/200 C oven for 30 minutes or until apples are tender when tested with a fork.
6. Baste several times during baking with the liquid in the pan

Serve warm with a butter replacer or cold sprinkled with cinnamon.
