4 cups apples, cored and diced (do not peel the skin)
2 cups water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. lemon rind
1 tsp. lemon juice
1. Put apples with skin in food processor or blender and mix until creamy.
3. Place puree in saucepan; add water, spices, lemon rind and juice and cook until thick.
4. Cool and store in the refrigerator.
