STRAWBERRY TART

Ingredients:
5 eggs, separated
6 teaspoons dietetic maple syrup (Slim-ette)
3 cups crushed strawberries, fresh or frozen
1 cup ground raw almonds (consistency of flour)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Garnish:
1 cup Nonfat Whipped Cream
Recipe:
1. Beat egg yolks with syrup until fluffy.
2. Add the strawberries; if frozen berries are used, drain slightly.
3. Add the almonds and the vanilla and blend thoroughly.
4. Beat the egg whites until stiff; fold into strawberry mixture carefully.
5. Grease or spray with Pam a baking dish and pour the mixture into it.
6. Bake in a preheated 375 F/190 C oven for 35 minutes or until firm.
7. Serve cold with whipped cream.
