Diet:
Avoid sugar, saturated fats, processed foods; reduce intake of full-fat dairy products and salt. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, oily fish, garlic, and fiber. Drink alcohol, especially red wine in moderation if it is part of your lifestyle. Follow as much as possible a Mediterranean diet with low saturated fats and olive oil.
