Not a disease but a symptom resulting from excess bilirubin in the blood, turning the skin into a dull yellow color. It may be caused by a carcinoma of the pancreas, cirrhosis of the liver, often hepatitis, hemolysis of the blood, pernicious anemia or biliary tract obstruction.
Diet:
Eat lots of raw foods; drink plenty of lemon juice and beet juice, olive oil. Avoid raw fish which contain bacteria and parasites.
Nutrients:
Vitamins B complex, lecithin, digestive enzymes, essential amino acids.
Herbs:
Milk thistle, dandelion, alfalfa.
