MENOPAUSAL SYMPTOMS


These are hot flashes, cold hands and feet, dizziness, headache, heart palpitations, inability to concentrate, headaches, constipation, weight gain, allergies, shortness of breath and often depression, appearing at the end of a woman's ovulation period, usually around 45-50 years of age. Principal cause is a hormonal imbalance with estrogen levels falling or wildly fluctuating.

Diet:
Eat soy, lots of raw foods, mainly green vegetables and fruit, broccoli, blackstrap molasses, flaxseed oil, apples, whole grains, salmon, sardines, white fish.

Nutrients:
Evening primrose oil, vitamin E, D, vitamins B complex, calcium, magnesium, boron, selenium, acidophilus.

Herbs:
Black cohosh, dong quai, ginseng, St. John's wort.
