Disordered or inadequate absorption from the intestinal tract. Associate with poor dietary habits, gastric surgery, or diseases such as infections, tropical sprue, gluten intolerance, pancreatic insufficiency, lactase deficiency.
Diet:
Brown rice, vegetables, fruits, oatmeal, fish, lots of liquids. Limit wheat products, meat. Avoid fats, caffeine, dairy products, fried, junk and processed foods, salt, sugar, white rice.
Nutrients:
Acidophilus, vitamins B complex, B12, C, zinc.
Herbs:
Alfalfa, fennel, ginger, hops.
