APPETITE, POOR

Poor appetite may be caused by many factors, some physical like alcohol cigarettes, drug use, heavy metal poisoning, nutritional deficiencies or undetected illness, some emotional depression, fear, stress, trauma, worry.

Diet:
Determine cause of poor appetite. Opt for well balanced meals with snacks in between meals, such as nuts, protein drinks, dairy products especially cheese and yogurt. Eat from red-colored plates to stimulate the appetite.

Nutrients:
Take multivitamins with A and B complex, calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper.

Herbs:
American ginseng, ginger, Korean ginseng, Siberian ginseng, saw palmetto.
