CONSTIPATION

Difficult or infrequent elimination of the digestive wastes resulting from sluggish bowel action, and often from insufficient fiber. Too little exercise and stress can contribute to the condition. Check for hypoactive thyroid.

Diet:
Increase fiber intake through wholegrain products, vegetables and fruits, psyllium, wheat bran, oats. Drink plenty of water.

Nutrients:
Acidophilus, glucomannan, psyllium, flaxseed oil.

Herbs:
Cascara sagrada, aloe vera juice, dandelion, goldenseal, triphala.
