HYPOGLYCEMIA

Abnormally low blood sugar levels, resulting from oversecretion of pancreatic insulin. It may be hereditary, but usually caused by poor diet, chronic stress, food intolerance, thyroid problems.

Diet:
High fiber diet, grains, nuts, seeds, yogurt, cheese, fish, chicken, turkey, olive oil. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, cigarettes, processed foods, soft drinks, sugar and white flour. Low glycemic diet is advised.

Nutrients:
Chromium, vitamins B complex, C, E, magnesium, zinc.

Herbs:
Gymnema sylvestre, jambol seeds (Syzygium Jambolanum).
