Most insect bites can be harmless, but others like ticks which carry diseases like Rocky Mountain Fever and Lyme Disease, can be very serious. Also some mosquitoes may be carriers of malaria. Remove tick as quickly as possible, wash the area carefully, and apply paste made from baking soda and water.
Diet:
Avoid alcoholic beverages because they cause blood vessels to dilate and the skin to flush, and this attracts insects.
Herbs:
Calendula lotion applied topically.
