MENIERES’ DISORDER

A collective name for a set of recurrent symptoms including ringing in the ears, dizziness, progressive deafness, nausea, vomiting and ear pressure, of unknown causes; risk factors are carbohydrate metabolism disorder, allergies, defective blood flow to the brain, premenstrual syndrome, manganese deficiency.

Diet:
Blood-sugar control diet (see hypoglycemia). Avoid caffeine, fried and processed foods, fats, salt and sugar.

Nutrients:
Manganese, coenzyme Q10, vitamins B complex, C, E, calcium, magnesium, lecithin, UFAs.

Herbs:
Butcher's broom, gingko biloba.
