SUNBURN

Skin burns caused by exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays. The severity of burns depend on skin color, individual tolerance, time of exposure, place, and atmospheric conditions. Clouds are only protective. All other factors being equal, burns increase in severity the closer one is to the equator, noontime, and ozon holes.
