SEBORRHEA

A disorder of the sebaceous glands, that is, the oil secreting glands of the skin, characterized by greasy areas on the body that form scales and crusts and conditions such as acne, alopecia, and seborrhoic dermatitits. The cause appears to be a B vitamin deficiency, particularly of biotin, while it may be associated with a food allergy.

Diet:
Give preference to raw foods and yogurt. Avoid chocolate, citrus fruits, corn, eggs, milk, nuts, peanuts, seafood, sugar, wheat flour.

Nutrients:
Vitamin B complex with extra biotin, E, coenzyme Q10.

Herbs:
Dandelion, goldenseal, and red clover.
