RAYNAUD’S DISEASE

Peripheral vascular disorder affecting mostly young women, where the hands and feet become hypersensitive to cold or emotional stress. Causes unknown. Risk factors are Buerger's disease, antihypertension drugs, alpha and beta andrenergic blockers, channel blockers.

Diet:
Balanced diet, increase raw foods, avoid fats, fried and processed foods, tobacco. Avoid also birth control pills and migraine headache drugs.

Nutrients:
Coenzyme Q10, vitamins B complex, E, fish oils.

Herbs:
Butcher's broom, ginkgo biloba, pau d'arco.
