Methionine

Sources
Methionine is an essential amino acid to be obtained from the diet. As for other essential amino acids, chief sources are animal and plant proteins. Methionine is another sulfur-containing amino acid used for the synthesis of bile acids, the amino acids carnitine, choline, creatine, cysteine and taurine, various endorphines, while its sulfur content is utilized in growth and metabolism.
