Chlorophyll

Function
Green pigment found in all green plants and some bacteria. Using absorbed light as energy, chlorophyll forms carbohydrates from carbon dioxide and water, a process best known as photosynthesis.

Sources
Foods high in chlorophyll are the edible algae chlorella, spirulina, barley grass, wheat grass, alfalfa, parsley, and green leafy vegetables.

Uses
Chlorophyll helps speed up the cleansing and detoxification of the bloodstream and of the lymphatic system. It is also used in cases of arthritis.
