Ingredients:
1 cup (4 ounces/110g) chopped dates
1 cup (4 ounces/110g) sultanas
1 cup (4 ounces/110g) sultanas
Recipe:
1. Put dates and raisins in a bowl with enough water to cover them, and leave to soak overnight.
2. Bring to a boil in the same water and simmer over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat when all liquid is absorbed.
3. Put mixture in food processor or blender and process until it is a smooth paste. Allow to cool.
4. Store left over paste in refrigerator.

Notes:
Use this paste instead of sugar in cakes, muffins or breads, also as a filling or
topping for cakes. The paste can also be shaped into balls to make petit fours.
