Ingredients:
1 pound/450g green beans
2 tablespoons finely chopped shallots
or spring onions
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper

Recipe:
1. Place whole beans in a shallow bowl with shallots and oil and garlic.
2. Put bowl in a tightly closed saucepan half filled with boiling water.
3. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
4. Season with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
5. Sprinkle with oregano and serve.
