CHINESE GREEN BEANS

Ingredients:
1 pound/450g green beans
2 tbs. olive or salad oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water
1 Tbs. low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 tsp. ginger powder
Recipe:
1. Wash and trim beans.
2. Break them into sections about 1-inch/2.5cm long.
3. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan.
4. Add beans and cook over medium heat for 1 minute stirring constantly.
5. Add salt and water; cover pan and cook beans for 3 minutes.
6. Remove cover and simmer, stirring from time to time, until all the water has evaporated about 5 minutes.
7. Add soy sauce, sprinkle with ginger powder and serve.

Notes:
Serving suggestion Serve with grilled chicken, beef or pork. Alternatively, stir- fry a little chopped onion and thin slices of beef and mix with the beans.
