SAUTEED MUSHROOMS WITH OREGANO

Ingredients:
1 pound/450g fresh mushrooms
2 Tbs. olive oil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 Tbs. whisky
Salt and pepper
Recipe:
1. Wash mushrooms and trim stems, but do not peel.
2. Slice lengthwise, including remaining stems.
3. Heat oil in skillet.
4. Add mushrooms and 1 tablespoon whisky and cook slowly for about 8 minutes, stirring frequently.
5. Sprinkle with oregano, salt and pepper.

Notes:
Serving suggestion Serve on a bed of lettuce with grilled meat or chicken. It also makes a delicious appetizer with almond crispbread fingers.
